Ceci achieved the A-Level grades that she needed to study International Relations at the University of Exeter.
Ceci joined King's Ely Senior in Year 10 as a full-time boarder from a school in London.
She studied Politics, Economics, and Psychology for her A-Levels. Ceci also completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), titled: 'Why, after the rule of Franco, is the far-right party VOX increasing in popularity?'
We caught up with Ceci after she received her A-Level results to find out more about her King's experience and what her next steps are...
Ceci, what career path do you plan on pursuing?
Diplomacy!
What is the quality and style of teaching like at King’s?
I would consider my teachers to be a key reason for my success. Their guidance and dedication throughout my time at King's, including the exam periods, was crucial in helping me remain focused and driven.
What else did you participate in during your time at King’s?
I was Captain of the Girls' Football Team. I participated from the moment the team was launched, and I had the pleasure of leading them in their third year. I was also Prefect in my boarding houses, Wendreda and then Hill, which gave me so many opportunities, such as organising events like House Song and weekend activities.
Do you feel that you have been well supported pastorally at King’s?
Hill House became far more than just the place I lived - it became home. The house parents, duty tutors, and staff created a comfortable and trusting environment where we felt genuinely seen, heard, and understood. If you were to ask any of them a question about us, however vague, they would answer in a heartbeat.
What will you miss most about King’s and what did you enjoy most during your time here?
I will definitely miss boarding life the most, especially the friends I made within my boarding house and at the house events. Having tea in the Monastic Barn, singing at every roll call, and the friendly competitiveness of house events. Those moments created friendships and memories that I will carry with me for a long time.
In what ways do you think King’s is unique or special compared to other schools?
I think the community at King's makes it unique - the relationships between students and staff, not just teachers, but all teams across school. It is like one big family.
Describe King’s in three words!
Welcoming, unique, supportive.
