Recognising Your Support

The support of our Old Eleans, parents and friends is at the heart of King’s Ely.

However you choose to support King’s Ely, and at whatever level, every gift is important to us. We offer a number of ways to recognise your generosity.

You can read more below about how support is acknowledged, as well as stories that illustrate the impact of philanthropy across the school community.

If you would like further information, please do get in touch with the Development Office.

I will always be profoundly grateful for
my time at King’s in the 1970s. It was
the best possible start for my life after
school, and it seems entirely fitting to
remember King’s in my Will, so that
others may benefit in the future.”

(OE 1975 and Eliensis Society Member)
The 1541 Club

The 1541 Club supports the King’s Ely Bursary Fund, providing vital financial assistance to pupils in need.

A suggested monthly gift of £15.41, marking the year of the school’s Royal Charter, offers a simple and accessible way to join. Many choose to give more, but the 1541 Club is designed to be inclusive, allowing support at a level that feels right.

Members receive regular updates, including a quarterly newsletter, and may choose to be recognised in the school’s list of benefactors. Those who give consistently for 24 months are welcomed into the 970 Society.

Every gift, whatever its size, makes a meaningful difference.

The Eliensis Society

The Eliensis Society recognises those who have chosen to remember King’s Ely in their will. Through this thoughtful and lasting form of support, members help to secure the future of the school and the opportunities it provides for generations to come.

Legacy gifts play a vital role in sustaining King’s Ely, supporting bursaries, preserving our historic environment, and enabling the school to continue to flourish.

Membership of the Eliensis Society offers a way for us to express our sincere thanks. Members are invited to occasional gatherings and receive updates on the impact of legacy giving within the school community.

There is no obligation to disclose the details of your gift; many choose simply to let us know of their intentions so that we may recognise and thank them during their lifetime.

Every legacy, whatever its size, becomes part of the enduring story of King’s Ely.
